LAHORE: A sessions court on Tuesday extended the interim pre-arrest bail of TikTok content creators Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak in a case over promoting online gambling apps on social media.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmad Qureshi heard the bail petitions as the previous bail period expired and summoned the complete investigation record from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency. Bail was extended until March 26.
The case was originally registered by the NCCIA in September 2025, alleging that the TikTokers were promoting gambling apps on their social media accounts.
Separate Bail Case: Substandard Milk Producers
Meanwhile, the Lahore High Court granted bail to three men accused of producing and selling adulterated milk and allegedly assaulting officials of the Punjab Food Authority.
The court allowed bail for Waseem Ashiq and Gulfam against surety bonds of Rs100,000 each.
During the hearing, the petitioners’ counsel argued that the case, based on a complaint from an assistant food safety officer, was unfounded. According to the prosecution, the suspects were involved in producing synthetic and adulterated milk, with items like lotion, mixing machines, and drums recovered from their premises.
The counsel countered that the initial investigation had cleared the suspects, but a later probe declared them guilty, raising questions about the credibility of the case.
