Social media platform X resumed normal service on Thursday after a short-lived global outage disrupted users worldwide.
Internet watchdog NetBlocks reported shortly after noon that the platform was experiencing international disruptions, clarifying that the issue was not linked to any country-specific internet restrictions.
Data from Downdetector showed a surge in complaints from users in Pakistan around 12pm, with most issues related to the timeline and app functionality.
However, reports quickly subsided within 45 minutes, dropping from a peak of 189 complaints in Pakistan to just a handful. A similar trend was observed in the United States, where reports fell sharply after briefly spiking to nearly 31,700.
The platform, owned by Elon Musk, has experienced multiple outages in recent months, including disruptions earlier in March, as well as incidents in February and January.
